TULUM - Mayan ruins a short distance from Cozumel

My first post will be about Tulum. The reason I start with this site is that it is the closest to where I live and I actually believe it's an amazing place to visit, a short distance away from Cozumel.

If you want to use the ship's Shore Excursions offer, a ferry will take you right off the pier in Cozumel and about 35 minutes later you are in Playa del Carmen. That's if the sea is calm and that is quite rare. The seas between Cozumel and mainland Mexico are famous for being quite rough and the currents are quite strong so expect a bumpy ride on the ferry. Once you reach Playa, the tour buses are in a nearby parking lot and off you go. About one hour later you arrived at your destination.
If you prefer to go on your own, then you can either have a Taxi, but that's quite expensive, or you can try the ADO buses. They are the main Commercial lines of South-eastern Mexico and take you to Tulum in about 45-50 mins. Another option are the shared vans. They have a red line across and you can find them  asking the locals for "colectivos para Tulum".  They are very reliable, comfortable and often much faster than the previous options I presented to you before. The ruins are at the northern entrance of the town, so you basically reach the ruins before reaching Tulum, the town. If you go on your own, make sure you are aware of that.

The site is located on the sea side and you have amazing views of the blue Caribbean water. The beach in the picture above is a nesting place for sea turtles and you mught have a chance to spot some
The ruins are majestic. They show the greatness of the long gone Mayan Civilization and look amazing at sunset.
As a tourist, you would like to have a memory from there
Tulum is an amazing site and a must see destination if you have at least 5-6 hours available on your Cozzumel stop. I would encourage everyone to go visit this impressive site.
